I recently got the chance to visit the newly opened, Chit Chat Burger Bar, located in the heart of downtown Vancouver, on Granville Street. What a treat it was to be invited to try some of the amazing items on their menu and speak to Aldo, the owner of Chit Chat Burger Bar and Hungry Guys Kitchen, on his experience in the restaurant industry (plus opening up during COVID). He has been so positive, it's inspiring to hear his outlook and hope for this restaurant.

Chit Chat Burger Bar has been taking all necessary precautions and have been able to ensure social distancing measures are in place within the restaurant. The tables and seats are well spread out and there was a hand sanitizing station plus a sign-in sheet upon entering the restaurant. All servers were wearing masks and gloves. I felt very comfortable dining in!

I was shocked to see that the burgers were so affordable, ranging from $6 to $8.50! We ordered the Viva La Granville Burger and the Chit Chat Burger. The Viva La Granville included avocado, jalapeno, lettuce, tomato and caramelized onion. I'm a sucker for anything that comes with caramelize onions. The Chit Chat Burger came with tomato, lettuce, onion, grilled zucchini, garlic aioli and a fried egg. The burgers were loaded and delicious!

I had to try their fresh cut fries as well! We ordered the Beef Ragu which came loaded with beef, tomato, cheddar cheese, sour cream, grilled mushrooms, cilantro, green onions and ketchup. The portions were pretty big, and was just $8.50. It was very flavorful, but I would have preferred the fries to be more crispy ( I guess the beef ragu sauce prevented the crispy-ness). Overall a very tasty side dish if you're having a burger as well, you would definitely need to share :)

Make sure you save room for dessert :) Probably one of the best milkshakes I've had! The Strawberry Cheese Cake Milkshake ($8.75) was the perfect consistently and balance (not to mention so visually appealing- I had to get it!). It's one of Chit Chat Burger Bar's most popular item on the menu, and it's definitely worth the hype (and calories :)). The cup is surrounded with Nerds which was so good! I haven't had Nerds in ages, and I loved how well it went with the milkshake.

The restaurant itself is a great place to go to after work for drinks, chill with friends or to watch sports. Chit Chat Burger Bar is currently doing Happy Hour daily from noon to 6 pm! They have a bunch of beer and wine on Happy Hour for $4.50. Their cocktails are amazing too! I tried the Magic Chinchilla ($13) which was just the right amount of sweetness i was looking for - vanilla vodka, home-made blueberry preserve, pineapple juice, lemon juice, fresh mint.

A huge thank you to Aldo for inviting us and his team for the amazing services. We had a blast :) What a wonderful experience.
If you happen to be in Downtown Vancouver, make sure you check out Chit Chat Burger Bar! :)
